Although the idea for myBuddy.life was first discovered in 2019, the original idea and inspiration was planted with one of our team members, Dee Gilmer, many years ago. In the 1960s, Dee randomly met a boy named Buddy at the Georgia South Eastern State Fair, when he was 11 years old. Buddy would later become one of the most important people in Dee’s life. Buddy and Dee shared many common interests, and had consistent communication with each other, so they had a high potential for a quality friendship right from the start.

Buddy has inspired us here at myBuddy.life, and in his memory we would like to share his idea of friendship. A grouping feature is coming soon to myBuddy.life, that will hopefully allow users to find friendships just like Dee and Buddy.
